CONSTRUCTION: HOT SEATING
In this lesson, we decided to participate in the character development activity known as Hot Seating. We wrote a questionaire and interviewed every single character in the film in order to develop an understanding of how they would react in every situation. We got these ideas from a book entitled "Riding the Alligator" by Pen Densham, an Oscar nominated Hollywood screenwriter. We also used a website called FilmEscape to also help us out. This was helpful, primarily as it allowed for both us as the filmmakers and the actors to develop knowledge of how our character would react in a certain situation when being interrogated by questions that could provide a sensitive reaction. It helped us to both improve the quality of the acting as well as the eventual filming as it would give us clearer direction on how a character would act in a certain scene. It helped us to reveal motivations about out characters For example, for the anniversary scene we get a sense that both Adam and Eve love each other and care for each other but then we also get a sense that not everything is perfect for them.

Excellent both as evidence of creative ways of character development and as appropriate uses of technology on the blog (video interview).
